November 2006 Archives

Coopers really is one of the few main-stream Aussie Beers that I would consider to be good. The above is the Sparkling Ale, but I prefer the Pale Ale.

The above shot is of Bernard Bier from the Czech Republic, but actually being drunk in Sydney at the "Prague Restaurant", which I do have to say (after being to Prague) was pretty authentic food & bier.

Erdinger Weißbräu comes from 'the worlds' largest wheat bier brewery in Erding, Germany.
The photo above was taken from the Hostellerie Bon Rivage on the shores of Lake Geneve in June 2006.

Afternoon shot of a Corona with the Sydney Harbour Bridge in the background.

You can't visit Munchen (Munich) without having a litre of the famous Hofbräuhaus beer.

Another Bavarian, top-fermented, effervescent bier, yet this one is from Austria & is named after a local Mountain Flower, which just happens to be the national flower for Switzerland and Austria.

Černá Hora is a typical crisp Czech Bier that has been made for over 500 years form a brewery, in a town of the same name, thats still in original condition.
I had this beer while visiting Praha earlier in 2006.
Have a look at this map of traditional Czech breweries. It gives you a good indication as to how many quality biers are brewed in the Czech Republic.

A new photoblog dedicated to biers of the world that I have & will be drinking.
I thought I should set a precedent and start with Schoefferhofer. Easily one of the best bier's currently available in Australia, it is a hefeweizen bier from Bavaria.
