Franziskaner-Dunkel

My partner in crime picked up some supplies when visiting Germany. This Dunkel Weißbier is from Franziskaner, which is yet another Bavarian brewery. These guys however can trace their history back to the 1363! Crazy no?

Anyway, the above bier is the perfect blend of dark, charcoal toffee flavours without being too heavy on the ‘dark’ bier flavour like other Dunkels. I know I’m being generous, but I do love this bier, thus 5 steins:
